The National Security Podcast “TNSP” is a nonpartisan, independent, self-funded, ad-free channel covering international security affairs and the defense tech sector. Our target audience is current and aspiring professionals in these spaces.

TNSP offers founders, academics, and subject matter experts a platform for long-form discussion and presentation. We aim to give today’s best, and often overlooked, the time and space to present their work. The podcast space today is oversaturated with channels trying to be the “one-stop-shop” for all things news. TNSP’s focus, by contrast, is narrow and will remain narrow. Our goal is to produce engaging, relevant, thought provoking, factually-grounded material so listeners can spend their limited free time learning something useful, whether for their job or personal education.

For the team at TNSP, success looks like publishing the highest-quality interviews, panels, and technical deep dives in the entire national security media space.

TNSP is a privately-run channel operated by individuals working full-time jobs in national security. We are concerned with final product, not revenue nor the opinions of corporate sponsors. We hold ourselves to the highest publication standards — our promise to any potential interviewee is that we will only record an episode having conducted thorough preparatory research. Time is valuable, and we will respect yours.

Criteria for Interviewees:

We seek individuals deeply involved in the fields of international security or defense tech.

For the former, we are interested in interviewing professors, researchers, and PhD candidates on their area of expertise vis-a-vis international security affairs; current or former policymakers who work[ed] across the various dimensions of security affairs (military, cyber, economic, diplomatic, environmental, etc); active-duty military, civilians, or government employees with first-hand, subject matter expertise; and journalists and analysts who cover the above topics.

For the latter, we are interested in highlighting founders and companies, overlooked by mainstream media outlets, in the following spaces: manufacturing, autonomous platforms, weapons systems, propulsion systems, intelligence gathering, C2, cybersecurity, communications equipment, surveillance/EW/SIGINT, guidance systems, and related categories that shape the future of warfare.

If you find yourself in between either of these categories, or working in a related field, please reach out to us via email (tnsp.team[at]proton.me) to see if this is a good match.
